J L Talks About Registering For The Draft And His Railroad Job

J L says he registered for the draft while in west Texas. He hoped to get his one year of military service finished and out of the way.

His railroad job moved down the track from location to location to complete a project and move on to the next location. They worked their way from the Houston area north and into Fort Worth. The tracks they worked on were owned by Southern Pacific Railroad.
