Doris Describes Playing Basketball In Grade School

Doris describes playing basketball in grade school. They played on a dirt court divided into 3 sections. Two forwards and two guards on each end with a center in the middle section. Doris played in the center because she was tall. The centers were not allowed to dribble the ball and could only pass the ball to their forwards.

Their coach would take the team to neighboring schools for games in his little sports car that only had one seat. The girls would ride on the bumper and fenders.
